The MARINADOUR program is located just outside Bayonne along the Adour riverside, on an industrial brownfield site. It consists of two blocks as part of the request for proposals for the Tête de Pont project in Bayonne launched by the ACBA (Agglomération Côte Basque) with a surface area totaling around 40,000 sq.m.
Because of the volume and size of the development, but also its location on the edge of the historical center and along the Adour river, MARINADOUR had to be designed not only as an architectural project but also as an urban project offering housing accessible to a wide range of populations.
The plans to reconvert the entrance to the town are aimed at a very broad range of functional uses as well as a landscape and environment of high quality.
The complex includes housing, shops and services in a unique architectural concept and offers coherent and harmonious spaces as well as highly landscaped areas such as suspended gardens in the center of the block. All this comes together to form a contemporary living space which caters perfectly to the expectations of today’s city dwellers.
